Union Bank of India launched Union Access, A digital accessibility initiative

Mumbai, May 19, 2022: Union Bank of India announced the launch of Union Access, a digital accessibility initiative especially for the disabled and senior citizens on the11thGlobal Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) that was celebrated today. 

With this initiative, Union Bank continues to reinforce its commitment to provide accessible customer experience for senior citizens and persons with disabilities. 

The Global Accessibility Awareness Day was thus celebrated with the launch of host of new initiatives:

  1. Unveiling of a booklet on “Inclusive Social Media” to integrate accessibility in bank’s social media communications

  2. E-Learning course on “General Awareness on Disability, Inclusion and Accessibility” for all the staff members

  3. Bank conducted mass awareness through social media quiz that was based on accessibility awareness

With its efforts, Union Bank of India aims to meet the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) notified “Indian Standards on ICT Accessibility”.
