High-profile Dignitaries Unite to Inaugurate Pavilion: Deputy CM Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis and TAITRA Chairman James C. F. Huang Lead the Way

Mumbai, October 16: The three-day Taiwan Expo 2023 concluded, and throughout the entire event, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion remained at the forefront due to its display of exceptional innovations and products. Taiwan Excellence, renowned for its prestigious brands, products, innovations, and cutting-edge technology, introduced products aligned with the themes of Smart Technology, Intelligent Healthcare, and Advanced Machinery.

The pavilion’s grand inauguration saw the presence of key dignitaries, including Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra State, notable representatives from the Taiwanese government, such as Mr. James C. F. Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), as well as Ms. Estela Chen, Executive Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic & Culture Center – India, Mr. Brian Lee, Executive Director of TAITRA, and the renowned Bollywood actress, Mouni Roy. In addition to that, the pavilion teemed with a vast multitude of attendees, comprising visitors, industry association members, business proprietors, and entrepreneurs, transforming it into a bustling epicenter of the expo.

With a keen focus on India’s rapidly growing markets, Taiwanese brands have customized their offerings to align with the ever-evolving preferences and demands of Indian consumers. The products spanned diverse sectors, encompassing healthcare equipment, lifestyle products, smart gadgets, manufacturing solutions, ICT innovations, and cutting-edge automated devices, among others. This strategic approach reflected their commitment to addressing the specific needs of the Indian market and ensuring that their offerings resonated with local consumers.

On the first day of the expo, Taiwan Excellence unveiled cutting-edge products meticulously crafted for the Indian market. In total, 25 pioneering brands, including AROMASE, AIFA, Alaska, ANNIE’S WAY, Biogend, BenQ, Body Charger, CONQUER, CyberPower, dc Mask, D-Link, EverFocus, GWINSTEK, HANRETEC, HCP, HUA-JIE, IBASE, ICP Das, IPEVO, JUSTIME, MEAN WELL, PHISON, Shennona, Z-COM, and ZYXEL, proudly showcased their exceptional offerings.

Over the course of the three-day event, numerous companies and entrepreneurs gathered extensive information about the products and technology, thereby exploring potential collaboration opportunities with Taiwanese brands.

In recent years, economic collaboration between India and Taiwan has thrived, encompassing trade, investment, and industry. In 2022, the trade volume between India and Taiwan reached an impressive $8.5 billion, marking a historic milestone in the relationship.

Presently, approximately 90 Taiwanese companies have set up business operations in India, channeling a total investment of $1.5 billion into sectors like information and communication technology, medical devices, and automobile components.

Taiwan Excellence has consistently held a leading role in extending support to India across diverse fields, ranging from trade and technology to education and cultural exchange. The successful participation at Taiwan Expo serves as a testament to Taiwan Excellence’s unwavering commitment to bolster India’s progress and growth.
