Mumbai, June 29: Glory Kaira FC struck good form and outplayed Rising Star Urban Agnels 6-0 in a Women’s Super Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2022-2023, played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Thursday.
The highlight of Glory Kaira’s big win was the brilliance of striker Samrudhi Kotkole who notched up a fine hat-trick of goals, while teammates Sharwari Donkar struck a brace of goals and Tranya D. scored one to complete the winning tally.
Earlier, Rising Sun FA also enjoyed an easy outing and charged to a 3-0 win against Ravens FC in another Women’s Super Division match. Striker Niti Ladha scored two goals and Althea D’Souza struck one to round-off Rising Sun’s winning margin of victory.
Later, the Elite Division match which was scheduled to be played between Air India and Income Tax was cancelled due to unavailability of referees.
Results – Women’s Super Div: Rising Sun FA 3 (Niti Ladha 2, Althea D’Souza) beat Ravens FC 0.
