Mumbai: HPCL celebrated 150th birth Anniversary of Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, across the country with a resolve to make India truly clean and green.
HPCL Chairman and Managing Director, Sh. M K Surana paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and administered Swachhta Hi Sewa pledge to employees, dealers & others at HPCL’s flagship Retail Outlet, Auto Care Centre, Niti Marg, New Delhi.
On the occasion, under Repurpose Used Cooking Oil (RUCO) campaign, he flagged off HP Gas delivery vans which will go around the Delhi – NCR region spreading awareness about the ill effects of reusing Cooking Oil. Walking the path of recycling and creating sustainable sources of fuel, similar activities were carried out at other cities across the country to educate the general public about RUCO.
RUCO is an ecosystem that will enable the collection and conversion of used cooking oil to biodiesel.
