 Experience gender fluidity at youth Festival ‘Anubhav 20’

 Only youth festival in Mumbai to give a platform to all gender and sexual norms. 

 The event will be held at SIES College premises on the 11th of January 2020.

Mumbai- January 2020:The QKnit along with SIES College Department of Mass Media and Gender Sensitization Cell (Sion) will be hosting Anubhav 20 as a part of Queer Azaadi Mumbai – ‘Mumbai Pride 2020’. This event will be held at SIES College premises on the 11th of January 2020. The theme for this year will be ‘Fluid Future ’.

Anubhav as a Youth Festival is a space that explores the power of art to inspire, respect, and recognize people across gender and sexual norms. Their aim is to encourage creative minds and incite creative collaboration and experimentation to celebrate art.

“With Belief that the future ahead is gender fluid. If we want to make this world a better place for all, it’s necessary to think beyond the gender binary” Said Sumit Pawar, Founder of The Qknit. To take a step closer to support this fluidity and to provide a safe space for individuals to express oneself, Anubhav 20’s official theme for this year is ‘Fluid Future’ with their tagline being “let’s all come together to celebrate ‘us’ ”.

This annual youth festival is open for all individuals falling under the age group of 18 – 30, possessing a valid identity proof. All participants will be competing individually in competitions like Kullad Painting, Ad Making,  Story Telling, Poetry Writing, and Recitation, Photography, Talent Show, Treasure Hunt and Just A Minute.

The event is powered by Point of View and Gaurav Cbo, Rainbow Tigers, Gaysi Family and Leo Club of Ghatkopar as their community partners, SIES College BMM as their coverage partner and QueerKala as their art partner.
