Mumbai: Basic Life Support (BLS) training can help people who are drowning, choking or suffer from. It can give a new lease of life to many people. Hence, BLS is medical care used in emergency and life-threatening situations until the victim receives professional care by the team of paramedics or at the hospital. Training for BLS is the need of the hour, and in the view of it, Zen Hospital came up with a unique initiative of training 30 participants of the International Institute of Population Sciences, Deonar (IIPS).
Dr. Roy Patankar, Director, Zen Multispecialty Hospital, says, “Zen Hospitals committed to training various sections of the society including layman people and first response services such as traffic police, firefighters and many more. The hospital always remains at the forefront when it comes to creating awareness regarding various ailments by organizing drives, camps, and initiatives. Now, this hands-on training session helped the participants to educate and gain knowledge about BLS. We hope to come up with more such interesting initiatives in the near future.”
