Mumbai: Union Bank of India through its social arm, Union Bank Social Foundation have associated with Indian Railways for carrying out renovation of Heritage Building at Bandra Railway Station. Union Bank Social Foundation will collaborate with Indian Railways to help beautify the Bandra Railway Station, while retaining the Heritage look of the Station.
Union Bank of India, a premier Bank has always been in the forefront in carrying out such social activity for the benefit of the society at large.
The beautification of the Heritage Building at Bandra Railway Station will be carried out and completed in FY 17-18. Restoration of Heritage Fencing, Heritage Lamps, Supply of Heritage Benches and setting up of small Museum apart from Green area development are the main features of activity proposed by the Bank at Bandra Railway Station. Also, the Toilet Block will be upgraded especially for women by providing a Baby Nursing Room facility, a one of its kind, with increase in the capacity from one WC to three WC. It will also be redesigned and renovated in total to have a heritage look & feel. The total expenditure towards envisaged towards this project is approx. Rs.100 Lacs and whole of the expenses will be borne by Union Bank Social Foundation. The Foundation will endeavor to associate with such projects across India in times to come.
