Being the largest online auto marketplace in India, Droom has been offering a wide range of automobile categories from bicycles to planes on its platform. The first company in its domain to introduce such a category especially for senior citizens and the differently abled, this initiative underlines Droom’s vision of providing mobility solutions for all. Manufactured leveraging state-of-art technologies, these electric wheelchairs are more navigable, durable, and cost-effective when compared to other powered wheelchairs available in the market. Moreover, it is the world’s first wheelchair with ‘Split Frame Technology’, thereby assuring good drive control capabilities and better maneuverability even on rough terrains. By introducing world’s most cost-effective all-terrain wheelchair frame technology on its platform, Droom envisions to maximize safety, comfort, and independence for the elderly and the differently abled.
Sharing an insight on this launch Sandeep Aggarwal, Founder & CEO, Droom remarked, “We have built a 21st century mobility platform online with entire ecosystem for the digital economy. We are not limited to cars but a marketplace for anything which has wheel and/or motor and human being use it for transportation. We are super excited to launch this category. Introducing electric wheelchair on our platform is our effort towards going beyond making profits to assert a greater impact on the society for its holistic benefit. While many efforts have been made towards providing better physical infrastructure for the seniors and the differently abled, the automobile domain has not quite shown a proactive stance towards the same. Being a pioneer in the online Indian automobile industry, we aim at including these highly innovative mobility solutions in the domain while providing greater independence, comfort, and safety for them.”
At present, the category of electric wheelchairs will be live on Droom’s platform in 19 cities across India including Delhi, Gurugram, Jaipur, Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Coimbatore, and Ahmedabad, to name a few.
