Singapore based Golden Ratio Films Forays into Marathi Cinema with AB Aani CD

The movie stars leading names in the industry with a special guest appearance by Amitabh Bachchan

Mumbai, September 2019: Golden Ratio Films (GRF), a Film Production and Distribution arm of the renowned Singapore-based Media Investment entity Vistas Media Capital (VMC) has announced its debut in the Marathi film industry with AB Aani CD. GRF has produced this movie together with Planet Marathi, KV Reddy Productions and Krishna Persaud. The brand has invested in the movie with an aim to bring Marathi cinema on a global platform. They also plan to produce another Marathi Thriller titled ‘Dhoomshan’ to be directed by Manish Khandelwal and written by Manish Kadam which will go on the floor in the last quarter of this year.

AB Aani CD stars popular names such as Vikram Gokhale, Subodh Bhave, Sayali Sanjeev and Akshay Tanksale and is directed by Milind Lele. Star icon Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing a critical cameo role in the film. The plot of the film revolves around 2 friends – Industry Veterans Vikram Gokhale and Amitabh Bachchan, in a comic setting. It will be a light-hearted family watch. The movie’s tentative date of release is in last quarter of 2019.

Speaking about their entry in the Marathi cinema, producer Mr. Piiyush Singh, said “A few recent movies, which have done wonders in India and Overseas markets from the Marathi film industry, have projected a shift in the audience movie choices. There are more takers or viewers of Marathi films now, than ever before. AB Aani CD is our dream entry into Marathi film industry and with Mr Bachchan’s cameo in the movie, it just makes it exponentially special.”

The Singapore based brand has been instrumental in funding some critically acclaimed movies across languages such as The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir, which was the Tamil super star’s (Dhanush) first Hollywood film, the modern remake of Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyu Aata Hai, Nakkash and International Award Winning and highly acclaimed film Bhonsle featuring Padma Shri Winner Manoj Bajpayee and Marathi Film Star Santosh Juvekar, which is currently being screened at various Leading International Film Festivals.
