Stay connected with the traditional poojas and vidhis in a contemporary way

August, 2017 The festive time has begun, adding fervor to our mundane lives. In months to come the season will be full swing with Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam and Diwali celebrations. Starting 25th August, the favourite Elephant God Ganpati will be welcomed in many Indian Households. The aroma of delicious food, Aarti and Pooja performance will bring together friends, relatives and neighbours in the merriment to please the beloved deity.

But for those who live away from families, especially the youth, festival times can be trying. Memory of celebrations at native place, the Pooja methods, the samagri and even the songs sung together can be overwhelming when left to do alone.

Saregama India, in its endeavour to constantly innovate technology to reach out to the always-online, the progressive yet rooted youth has introduced an unconventional way to stay connected with traditions through Saregama Shakti app. The app is a step-by-step high quality audio-video guide on various Pujas and Aartis. All you need to know about the legend of every Vrat, the methodology, the Pooja ingredients, special prasad recipes, fasting rituals and mythological significance of every Pooja is available on the tap of a finger.

Saregama Shakti is available worldwide on Apple and Android app stores. It is a free to download app with a 1-day trial period. Customers then have an option to choose from monthly, semi-annual or annual subscription. The payment can be made either through iTunes for Apple users or the Google Play store for Android users. Customers can also pay via their telecom operator or through their credit card/net banking/debit card.
