Shree Nasik Panchavati Panjrapole’s Vision in Certified Organic Products by Caring for Cows and Environment

by Suman Gupta

SNPP-Shree Nasik Panchavati Panjrapole a 140 year old registered  public charitable trust (NGO/Gaushala) plays a pioneering role and  has got ‘organic’ certification by One Cert & Indo Cert, for its certified Organic Ghee, Milk and Mangoes and other fruits like guava chikoo custard apple etc.

SNPP – Shree Nasik Panchavati Panjrapole is taking care of the environment by planting and preserving lakhs of trees. SNPP has been presented the ‘Vanashreee Award’ by Maharashtra Government for the same.

SNPP’s Certified Organic Gir Cow Ghee is one of the most preferred for Ayurvedic medicine /nutrition, especially for children and elders and for cooking tasty/ healthy food.

SNPP is a cow shelter  that endeavors to take care of disabled, discarded, diseased as well as healthy cows usually left by others, in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. Currently, SNPP shelters approximately 1300 cows in their three farms at Nashik.

SNPP has created an in-house sustainable system where cow dung manure/vermi-compost and cow urine are used as fertilizers to grow certified organic fodder. This certified organic fodder is fed to the cows. Utmost care is taken to ensure that the intake of the cows is natural and organic as far as possible. The cycle is completed when cow dung from these cows is again used to fertilize the fodder.

Further, SNPP has built rainwater harvesting ponds from which water is used in the organic farming practices and in the Gaushalas.

SNPP’s also has been doing CSR activities like distributing free organic cow milk 100ml  to underprivileged children below 12 yrs along with snacks and a banana, everyday. SNPP also gives milk to schools and hospitals at subsidised rate.

Thus SNPP is not only taking care of cows but taking care of environment and providing exclusive certified organic products for human consumption and wellbeing.
