Sandeep and Ajgar wins the 7thMalwa Adventure Rally

A record of 41 cars stormed the Central India’s plateau

New Delhi, Aug 24: Jaipur’s Sandeep Prabhakar along with his co-drivers Nagarajan (Chennai) and Raunaq Singh (Mumbai) won the overall 4X4 category in the 7th Malwa Adventure National Open Car Rally, organized by MALWA Motorsports Club under the aegis of the FMSCI.

The 7th edition of the flagship event of the Club saw a whopping 41 cars challenging the gruelling tracks of the Central India’s plateau from August 20 to 21.

The motorheads raided for a stretch of around 500 kms in three stages in this TSD format-based rally for cars and 4×4 SUVs (upto 1600cc and above 1600cc).

In the 4X2 category Kolkata’s Ajgar Ali and Musthafa took the crown.

“The Malwa Adventure Rally started 8 years ago and has gained tremendous importance and popularity because of its difficult hilly terrains, monsoon slushes and adventurous routes which attracts the top-notch TSD rallyists of our country”, said Dr. Afzal Bunglowala, the President of Malwa Motorsports Club. “This 3-staged rally also had a night-leg of around 70 Kms which tests the driver’s skill under difficult slushy conditions” he added.

Overall Winners:

4X4 Category: Sandeep Prabhakar, T.Nagarajan and Raunaq Singh (00:00:33:17)

4X2 Category: Ajgar Ali and Musthafa from Kolkata (00:00:10:28)
