The Missing Stone, starring Rashi Mal, recently released on MX player. Rashi plays the character of “Payal” who sets in motion a series of mysterious events that become the backbone of this gripping thriller.

Rashi says “Payal’s journey in the show is what made me pick this script. She is a complex creature with her own strengths, flaws and quirks. Therefore, I wanted to play it as real as possible and spent a fair amount of time in character development.

The series follows the intertwined journey of three main characters and every step forward unravels murkier secrets. Psychological thrillers are gaining popularity, as a genre, in India and “The Missing Stone” will definitely be one that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats.

Rashi further adds, “Shooting for the show was a beautiful experience despite it being at the peak of the lockdown. I particularly enjoy doing action sequences so it was wonderful that I got an opportunity to do that as well.”

The “A.I.SHA” actor emphasizes how she consciously did not want to slot the character as good or bad but bring in all the nuances of the human experience in her performance. She has always chosen unique, performance driven parts in projects such as ‘Helicopter Eela’ and ‘Sir’ and has pushed the envelope further with her role in this series.

Rashi mentions that her experience with her co-stars Barun Sobti and Bidita Bag was brilliant. She expresses her gratitude towards Mr. Sobti and Ms. Bag for making her feel very comfortable on set. Bidita was really like a sister to her and was full of good advice. She adds that Barun Sobti is effortless as an actor and has an amazing chameleon like ability to look extremely different from one scene to the next. The extremely talented cast is the cherry on top for the show which makes for a perfect beginning to 2021.
