Ram Shetty joins Grand Mercure Gopalan Mall as the General Manager. Ram brings with him over 19 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of the business and an innovative mind-set. In his new role, Ram will oversee the complete operations and management of the hotel ensuring the highest levels of guest engagement, and profitability by continuing to build on the positioning and reputation of Grand Mercure Bengaluru Gopalan Mall.

In his previous role, Ram managed Sheraton Hyderabad a 272-key property as the Hotel Manager by spearheading initiatives that led to significant growth across various metrics. Under his leadership, the hotel experienced a substantial increase in F&B revenue, overall revenue, and GOP, along with a marked improvement in guest satisfaction and associate engagement scores.

Ram’s impressive career also includes his tenure as Multi-Property Hotel Manager for Fairfield Sriperumbudur and Fairfield OMR Chennai, where he was recognized with multiple awards for his outstanding leadership. His strategic approach resulted in remarkable revenue and profit growth, enhanced guest engagement, and increased loyalty memberships. With previous key roles such as Director of Hotel Operations at Sheraton Hyderabad, Director of Rooms at Novotel Kolkata, and Front Office Manager at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, Ram has consistently demonstrated his ability to revamp hotel operations, elevate guest experiences, and drive profitability.

Ram holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and is proficient in Hindi, English, Kannada, and Telugu.
