Punjab National Bank organizes Walkathon to commemorate the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga

Mumbai, August , 2022:  Punjab National Bank (PNB), nation’s leading public sector bank, organized a Walkathon to commemorate India’s iconic milestone of 75 years of independence and to encourage the unfurling of the national flag at every home.  This initiative has been inspired by Har Ghara Tiranga Campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amritmahotsav, which aims at bringing our beloved national flag closer to our heart.

The Walkathon commenced from the PNB Head Office  and was graced with the participation of the MD & CEO Shri Atul Kumar Goel, along with ED Shri Sanjay Kumar, CGM  Shri Sunil Soni, senior executives and other staff members. During the Walkathon, national flags were distributed amongst the general public by the MD & CEO and ED to instill the joy of patriotism.

Commending the staff for their zeal and enthusiasm, Shri Goel said, “ The Walkathon is a symbolic tribute to the 75 years of progressive India and spirit of unity , peace and harmony.  We envision an India where weaker sections and low income groups have access to financial services including credit at an affordable cost.”
