SWAGAT CHE Tamaru ‘PRAVAS ‘Railway Train BOGIE’, Shudh Sahakari Restaurant ‘ ma , which has Entered Lower Parel Station at Kamla Mills Compound, adjoining SMAAASH to give consumers the Authentic taste of Gujarati Food along with the ROYAL Maharaja Train Experience of Fine Dining. ‘Pravas’ opened a few months ago.
Pravas is a excellent new place to get a taste of Heavenly Food with Value for Money. Styled like the interior of a luxurious and Original train compartment, it’s a paradise for foodies.
Pravas – Gujarati Kitchen and Bar caters to anyone in the mood for a great thali filled with chaat items, farsan, kathol, kadhi, khichdi and Exotic vegetables coupled with exiting indian deserts and more.
The menu is wide and consists of farsan including Surti Rassawala Khaman – small granules of Khaman topped with spicy lentil gravy, Khichu Plain/Bajra, tasty sandwich Dhoklas with green chutney filled in between, delicious Handvo, lightly spiced Farali Pattice, Deserts include Excellent tasty Malpua, Rice Kheer{doodhpak}, perfectly blended freshy homemade style Gulab Jamuns. It instantly takes you back to the home meal cravings.
The Air-Con ‘platform’, gets you a feeling of a Swiss Cool Feelings. Sitting and having Pravas Thali in one of the three coaches with brocade ceilings, curtained windows, etc with Waiters dressed in railway uniforms adds to the ambience.
Reasonably priced Shudh Vegetarian Gujarati Thali at Rs. 530 on weekdays and Rs. 742 on weekends.
Along the side Pani Puri shot, a sip of tangy Bhavnagri Limade and a walk to the chaat counter to pick up crisp Chillas , Pani Puri and Dahi Bhalle, Aloo Chaat, Chaas Wade are awsome. Gujarati Kadhi, flavoursome Makai Moong Vadi nu Shaak, smoky Ringna No Olo, Aloo dry with dryfriuts like kaju kismish tastes yum, soft Sofiyani Paneer also is excellent. The Thali menu changes daily. From the a la carte specialites , the milk ice cream based mocktails , Damru Pan Vanilla ice cream blended with pan flovour and taste blended with Gulkand …are a must have.
