by Suman Gupta

Mumbai, December 2019: The 8th edition of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Mumbai 2019 presented by Colors powered by Pond’s Skinfit was announced in Mumbai by Supermodel; Actor & Pinkathon founder Milind Soman. This year in Mumbai, Cancer Conquerors were seen walking at Hanging Garden on 1st December to take a step forward with Pinkathon and Inspire everyone.

30 and more Cancer Sheroes walked to inspire everyone with the bravery and courage they have shown in the face of cancer. The event was specifically designed for Cancer conquerors, their caregivers, and families.

As a celebration of their achievement, each Cancer Shero was presented with a specially crafted ‘I Inspire’ medal at the end of the walk for honoring the true spirit and strength of womanhood. While many women have an excuse to not do anything for their health & fitness, cancer survivors participate in the Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon, in order to lead by example & educate participants about the need for fitness to either avoid or deal with the dreaded disease.

Over 275,000 women have run so far in the last 8 years across multiple cities. This year around 10000 plus women will be participating in multi categories for the run. Pinkathon is India’s biggest women’s run to encourage and promote fitness and health among women and create awareness for Breast Cancer and other issues relating to women’s health.
