Mumbai, 27th March, 2021: Earth Hour is a global campaign wherein non-essential lights are turned off at 8:30 PM on a specific day towards the end of March. Over the years, the lights-off moment saw various important buildings and historical monuments across the globe dim their lights for an entire hour that drew public attention to the climate deterioration.

Oberoi Mall, a well-known Mall in Mumbai’s western suburbs will be observing Earth Hour on 27th March from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm to encourage a sustainable lifestyle within the ecosystem. The Mall will switch off the façade lights during the Earth Hour, aiming to raise awareness and inspire people to take active action for the environment. With its commitment to the environment, the Mall has been actively doing their bit through transparent roof, LEDs in basements, rain-water harvesting, sensor based wash basins and water purifiers. By supporting this cause, the mall is doing its bit towards sustainability.

Coordinated by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and other volunteer organizations, Earth Hour has become a motivator for positive impact on the environment and government reforms by bringing together the power of the people. Every year, Earth Hour engages millions of people in more than 185 countries and territories by switching off their lights and creating a powerful movement to address rising climatic concerns.
