17th February 2021, Mumbai: Mumbai Festival hosted by Things2do in association with Maharashtra Tourism department, concluded yesterday amidst fanfare and gaiety. Fest-o-berry, which celebrated people’s love for strawberries at R-city mall, Ghatkopar on 13th and 14th February, was one of the major highlights of the Mumbai festival.

More than 20,000 people visited the strawberry-bathed venue to immerse themselves in a 2-day celebration featuring over 150 strawberry delicacies. Apart from various delicious strawberry dishes, the key features of the festival included fun-filled games, exciting contests such as strawberry eating competition, cooking workshops, etc.

The venue turned into a strawberry-paradise for the fruit and food lovers who relished delicacies like milkshakes, ice-creams, juices, waffles, jams and so much more, straight from Mahabaleshwar.

Renowned Chef Tanisha Murjani of ‘The Baker’s Affairs’ presented a delectable 10-feet long cake which garnered massive attention from the on-lookers. Honorable Director of Directorate of Tourism (DoT), Dhananjay Sawalkar did the honor of cutting the cake at the festival. While sharing his thoughts on the festival, he said, “Post covid, everything had slowed down and after a long break people got an opportunity to travel and come together to celebrate. Many of them came forward and participated in various activities as well. With this festival, the sense of vibrancy was felt all over again. The efforts that Things2do has put in to organize Mumbai festival are highly appreciable and, all the digital and on ground activities were very well co-ordinated and executed.”

Fest-o-berry also showcased incredible live music and performances. While the Dharavi Dream Project spellbound the audience with their performance, the popular stand-up comedian Yash Rathi left the audience in splits.

Social media influencers like Sana Khan, Brinda Shah and Diljaan attended the event and showcased their love for the red fruit.

The 21-day long Mumbai festival which began last month held many events like Sand Art Festival at Girgaum Chowpatty, Vintage Car Rally at BKC, Bandra and Ballard Pier, Mumbai Film Festival at PVR Cinemas. Several photo-op stops were installed across iconic destinations of Mumbai for 21 days.
