The 2-day International Symposium On Robotic Joint Replacement (ISRJR) event witnessed the participation of eminent faculties and experts all over the world
The conference was dedicated to advancements in techniques, and tools in Arthroplasty to improve the patient’s quality of life
Pune,May 2022: The emergence of a new advancement in technology in healthcare worldwide and Orthopaedics is not an exception and it is the need of the hour for all of us to stay updated to cater to the demands and expectations of the patients and healthcare fraternity as well! To bring a revolutionary change in this field, a Third International Symposium for Robotic Joint Replacement (ISRJR) was successfully organized at Hotel J.W. Mariott, Pune on 14th and 15 May 2022 under the leadership of Dr Narendra Vaidya. It is a one-of-its-kind conference dedicated to advancements and emerging technologies, techniques, and tools in Arthroplasty. The conference delivered an inspiring forum for you to renew your knowledge, perspective, and understanding of Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and how the involvement of technology has contributed. It was a golden opportunity for aspiring joint replacement Surgeons to learn about the innovations happening in Arthroplasty.
At this conference, Dr. Along with Narendra Vaidya, Dr. David Rovinsky, Dr. John Redmond, Dr. Suryanarayan, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dr. Anoop Jhurani, Dr. Sanjay Pai, Dr. Sunil Rajan, Dr. Prashant, Dr. Agarwal, Dr. Rakesh Rajput, Dr. Anubhav Jain, Dr. Akhil Dadi, Dr. Sanjeev Mahajan, Dr. Hrushikesh Saraf, Dr. Patel, Dr. Upasani, Dr. Aditya Reddy, Dr. Mahajan, Dr. Avtar Singh, Dr. Rakesh Patil, Dr. Satish Kale, Dr. Rohit Luthra, Dr. Neeraj Adkar, Dr. Ashish Suryawanshi, Dr. Mukesh Laddha, Dr. Nilesh Kulkarni, Dr. Anup Gadekar expressed their views. Dr. Tanmay Jaysinghani, Dr. Deshpande, presented their research papers.
The International Symposium On Robotic Joint Replacement (ISRJR) event in Pune featured live broadcasts of eight knee and hip joint surgeries with the help of the world’s most advanced robotic system, a detailed discussion of the scientific interpretation, resolution of doubts, limitations of the system, future improvements and, most importantly, actual benefits to patients. The selected theme was “LATEST 3Ts IN ARTHROPLASTY: THE EMERGING TECHNIQUES, TECHNOLOGIES, AND TOOLS, THEIR OUTCOMES, BENEFITS AND USER EXPERIENCE”. Dr. Narendra Vaidya explained the importance of technology through live surgery called “Complex TKR” with the help of a robot on the knees of the patients.
Dr Narendra Vaidya, MD, Lokmanya Hospitals and Organizing Chair said “Lokmanya Hospitals, Pune are the pioneers and the global leaders with an experience of more than 7000 Robotic Assisted Knee Replacements which is the highest in the series. We have taken initiative to organize this scientific symposium with the motive of providing an effective knowledge-sharing platform and exposure to the latest advances, approaches, techniques, technologies, and tools that are being practiced across the globe in Arthroplasty.”
Dr Vaidya added, “Arthroplasty is more about helping patients get back to their active and happy lives and there are many ways to accomplish that goal. Now with the help of robotics, it is possible to combine kinematic/physiological alignment / functional alignment accurately. Robotic surgery will help to relieve pain and ease one’s movements. Furthermore, when the 3Ts -technology, techniques, and tools come together to form the most-effective combination with a surgeon’s skills, the results can be amazing with a very high patient and surgeon satisfaction index! We have started the process of research and development of more improved techniques in the future. This meeting will provide every attendee with a great opportunity to update the current concepts in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.
This conference brought all the Robotic technologies existing across the globe on a single platform, presenting eye-opening Keynote Lectures, Didactic Sessions, Panel Discussions, Live Surgeries, Workshops, Meet the Expert sessions, and Difficult Case Discussions, all conducted by well-known National and International faculties.
