Mumbai, 23^rd June 2022: Give a mid-week break to yourself and head to antiSOCIAL, Mumbai’s favourite party destination with your gang! If you and your peeps love Indie pop and Rock music then antiSOCIAL in association with Misfits Inc. will be hosting The Lightyears Explode along with Rudy Mukta and Tough on Tobacco on Thursday, 8 pm onwards. It’s aLive, an IP of Misfits Inc. will be hosting these unconventional bands under their 2^nd Edition.

Along with performing to their all-time hits, The Lightyears Explode will also be performing to their latest single ‘Hello Cheater’ which they released this May 2022 in collaboration with David Britto aka Arrows. Watch out for Rudy Mukta’s genre defying music, as this 18-year-old artist is all ready to set fire on the stage with her performance. Been in the music space for more than a decade, Sidd Coutto and his band Tough on Tobacco always have something new and fresh to offer with their songs and music!

The Lightyears Explode

The Lightyears Explode are a pop / indie act featuring pop hooks, punchy drums, syncopated rhythms, jangly guitars & kitschy synths set to stories about suburban paranoia & escapism. The Lightyears Explode is a duo featuring Saurabh Roy & Shalom Benjamin. The band’s single Three Kills (Kunj Gutka) was featured on the soundtrack of Bejoy Nambiar’s David. They also represented India on the March ’13 edition of The Music Alliance pact with their first single – Garam Dharam. The band went on to win the 2011 edition of the Channel [V] Launchpad. After touring the length and the breadth of the country, the band released their first full length album The Revenge of Kalicharan at Blue Frog, Mumbai in April 2013.

Their latest EP, Mellow which is influenced by their pop leanings was released on all major streaming platforms in Nov 2020. This EP was accompanied by 2 music videos.

Rudy Mukta is the artistic version of Indian singer/songwriter Rudravajela Mukta, who quickly established herself as one of the most exciting new artists in the Indie / R&B music ranks on strength of her forward thinking, genre defying sound. raised in Bangalore, Rudy Mukta trained in Carnatic music for over 10 years. The 18 year old’s impressive self-produced debut project, ‘entropy’ was released independently in 2020 and continues to gather critical acclaim with each new discovery.

 Tough on Tobacco

Tough on Tobacco is singer-songwriter Sidd Coutto’s talent packed, genre bending, convention defying, wildly funny, brand new live act. The music is a mélange of pop, rock and reggae. ‘Tough on Tobacco’ is an anti-tobacco message. Don’t start smoking!

 It’s hard to quit once you start. And it’s just not worth it. If even one young adult says no to tobacco because they heard us, we’ll be justified in our cause. The gigs are fun. The jokes are stupid. The music is easy. It’s time to get Tough on Tobacco.
