India Post Payments Bank Launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra  at Mumbai GPO

On 1st September’2018, Nation wide launch function of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) is successfully held in 42 branches and 168 access points all over Maharashtra Circle.  Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra launched the ‘Maharashtra Circle Girgaon Branch’ at Mumbai GPO.   Shri Arvind Sawant, Shri Rahul Shewale, Hon’ble Members of Parliament were the Guests of Honour.

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra addressed the gathering stating that India Post Payments Bank will bring revolution in the Banking sector after 70 years of independence. There will be direct relation of account holder by the 3 lakhs village postman through IPPB. Shri C.Vidyasagar Rao, Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra launched IPPB ‘Andheri Branch’ at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai.  Smt. Mridula Sinha, Hon’ble Governor of Goa launched IPPB ‘Panaji Branch’ at Panaji, Goa.

On this occasion, a Special Cover on India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) was released to commemorate the event.

QR cards were also distributed by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra during the function to the first 5 account holders of India Post Payments Bank in Mumbai.

Hon’ble Members of Legislative Assembly/Members of Legislative Council, Shri Ashish Shelar, Shri Sardar Tara Singh, Shri Kalidas Kolambkar, Shri Rahul Narvekar,  Shri Pravin Darekar, Shri Raj Purohit, attended the function.  Smt. Shaina N.C. was also present.
