Huge illumination to be created at Banganga with MahaAarti by GSB Temple Trust

Mumbai: Banganga, the most famous historic landmark in Walkeshwar in South Mumbai, will be illuminated with thousands of lamps on the auspicious festival of KartikPoornima. MahaAarti is also organized here in the presence of thousands of devotees at this holy place ‘Banganga’, which was created by Lord ShriRamachandra. This grand event is organized by ‘Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Temple Trust alias G. S. B. Temple Trust to be held on November 12th at 6.30 pm. The event is being organized in collaboration with MTDC under religious tourism.

Thousands of lamps will be lit by the Trust at the BangangaGhat along with a magnificent MahaAarti will be performed like the Ganga Aarti of Haridwar and Varanasi.  GSB Temple Trust has been organizing this magnificent MahaAarti from last several years. Trust’s Chairman Mr. PravinKanvinde said that the Trust owns the proprietary rights of Banganga and so theTrust will ensureimplementation of number of plans to beautify and preserve this Banganga area.

There will be no charges for this event; seating will be allowed on first-comers basis. On this occasion, more than 5000 devotees are expected to visit the event and light the lamps here. Along with the general public, many eminent personalities from different layers of society will also be present at the event.
