Gulf Air starts direct flight connections from Goa to Bahrain

Date: April 2023: Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, announced the launch of its newest destination Goa, effective from March 27th, 2023.

The airline announced operating four weekly flights from Goa to Bahrain.

With this new service, Gulf Air aims to expand its reach in the Indian subcontinent and provide more travel options for its passengers. The flight will cater to leisure travelers and increase the tourist footprints in Bahrain.

Gulf Air Chief Executive Officer Captain Waleed Al Alawi welcomed guests of the event and expressed his appreciation for their attendance to celebrate the launch of the airline’s latest destination. The event was attended by His Excellency Mr. Piyush Srivastava, the Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Bahrain Airport Company Chief Executive Officer Mr. Mohammed Al Binfalah, and members of the airline’s executive management.

The celebration included taking souvenir photos and cutting a celebratory cake; guests enjoyed a specially designed Goan menu at Gulf Air’s Falcon Gold Lounge at Bahrain International Airport.

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA)’s scope of work includes all sectors related to national tourism affairs in the Kingdom: organize conventions and trade exhibitions in the Kingdom of Bahrain; attract international, regional and local conferences to be hosted in the Kingdom; establish, manage, promote and maintain the Authority’s conventions and exhibitions centers directly or through specialized companies or firms BTEA establishes solely or in partnership with others for the same purpose; grant licenses for conventions and trade exhibitions, supervise and assess them.

The Tourism sector aims to attract prominent international events that engage large number of tourists and strengthen the position of Bahrain as an important tourism attraction on a regional and international level.

BTEA also aspires to boost the Tourism sector’s contribution in the national economy, in line with the Bahrain Economic vision 2030 and toward achieving the goals of the Economic Development Board.
