March , 2021: More than 42 MG car owners got together to raise funds for the blind children here in Chennai. The drive was organized by MG Car Club Chennai Centre in the city, an owner-driven car community.

The owners which drove in the MG Hector as a part of the meet-and-greet event also raised awareness on the importance of helping blind people. The owners themselves contributed towards the cause along with support from MG Motor India – the move resonated with the carmaker’s focus on community as a key pillar – it aims to serve the society around where its dealership facilities are located.

Speaking on the occasion, an MG owner and Chief Experience Officer of the MGCC club in Chennai, Mr. Srinath, said, “It feels great to have contributed to the cause of supporting blind people while getting together for an experience with MG. MG as a brand is committed towards diversity and community, and this is the reason why I chose to buy an MG in the first place.”

Mr. Srinath (Chief Experience Officer) and Mr. Chirag (Culture Operations Manager) have taken honorary positions as MGCC officers for MGCC Chennai Centre. More such events will be planned in the future.

MGCC is a prestigious car club that was launched in 1930 at Abingdon, the U.K., with thousands of members across the globe. Since then, with the strong sense of pride that they carry, the ardent MG owners (including several from India) have come in the support of the brand on several occasions. The club still survives now at its original premises in Abingdon, the U.K., which has been the automaker’s permanent address ever since its incorporation.

MGCC owners in India will now be part of the global community and enjoy the experience and all other benefits of the club.
