Friends of Tribal Society Bags 32nd CFBP Jamnalal Bajaj Award

The Council For Fair Business Practices(CFBP), Jamnalal Bajaj Award – recognises and commemorates businessmen and industrialists who uphold the highest ethical systems in business.

Formed in 1988, the awards recognise 8 important parameters, including customer satisfaction, employee motivation, environmental protection supply chain system, compliance with the ‘Law and Code of Conduct’ with Corporate Social Responsibility. Awards are also presented to charitable associations with an outstanding record of promoting fair business practices.

At the 32nd CFBP Jamnalal Bajaj Awards Function held recently, Friends of Tribal Society, (FTS) Mumbai, is very proud to receive the Trophy as an award.

Friends of Tribals Society (FTS) was established in 1989 in Kolkata with the objective of holistic development of tribals in our country. More than 80% of the tribes are illiterate and deprived of basic amenities.

Swami Vivekananda’s said that:-
“where a child cannot come to school, the school should go to the child”

The foundation of FTS started with the idea of ​​a ‘One Teacher’s School’ (Ekal Vidyalaya) in which a teacher, usually an educated young man from the village, teaches them the elementary reading, writing and arithmetic.
Informal schools are run for three hours every day, about 25 to 30 children are in the class.

FTS is Honored with the “Gandhi Peace Prize” by the President of India.

With the expectation and inspiration of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, 1 Lakh schools have started .
At present, 1,020,00 (One Lakhs Two Thousand) ‘One Teacher’s School‘ are running in India and Nepal.

The award was received by Nayantara Jain & Namita Pandya from Former Chairman of SBI Mr Rajaneesh kumar. The function was attended by FTS members Shrigopal Pachisia and Ashok Bhansali.
