India 11 March 2021: ELGi Compressors Europe, a subsidiary of Elgi Equipments Limited, one of the world’s leading air compressor manufacturers, announced today that Fasolex, Poland’s leading bean, fruit and vegetable producer, installed an ELGi compressed air system to power the bean sorting line at their new plant in Sahryń, Poland. The ELGi-compressed-air-powered sorting line removes defective beans and ensures the highest food quality possible.

ELGi provided Fasolex with a turnkey solution including an EG18 VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and an EG22 compressor, and was also responsible for the set up and installation of the entire compressor room including the refrigeration dryer, buffertank, oil-water separator and ventilation.

“For nearly thirty years we have been processing, sorting and preparing beans with a focus on quality. We chose ELGi as our partner for our growth plans due to their ability to provide us with a complete turnkey solution, delivering the necessary robustness of the compressor while improving efficiency and reliability, while lowering operational costs,” said Andrzej Jasiak, the owner of Fasolex. “We rely on the compressed air system to meet our high standards for quality and to cater to the growing European demand. The solution provided by ELGi has given us worry-free comfort, allowing us to focus on delivering the best quality product to our customers.”

“At ELGi our definition of Always Better is closely coupled with us always being the customer’s choice. With over 60 years of experience and innovation, we pride ourselves on addressing our customers’ needs with comprehensive, state-of-the-art compressed air solutions,” said Arkadiusz Wrzyszcz, Regional Manager – Eastern Europe at ELGi. “Our world class products have one of the best life cycle costs, industry-leading uptime and we’ve reaffirmed our commitment to reliability by providing customers with robust warranty plans.”

The sturdy design of the EG Series compressor range enables operations at extreme temperatures – from cold to hot and from dry to extremely humid conditions, leading overall to a higher reliability of the compressed air system. ELGi’s high efficiency airends are equipped with in-house developed η-V profile rotors, with the 4/5 lobe combination, designed to run at low rotor speeds. This unique design reduces pressure losses and together with the OSBIC (Oil separation by impact and centrifugal action), 3-stage separation provides best-in-class energy efficiency.

Thanks to low operating speeds further improved by the operational Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), the compressor can adapt to the changes in demand, and optimize the air flow saving energy costs. These EG compressors run very quietly, which allowed Fasolex to run the compressor close to the sorting line and their employees.
