Empowering Safety: NESCO Events Hosted the 2nd edition of World of Safety Summit and Expo 2024 in Mumbai

Shri D.B. Gore, Director- Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health, Maharashtra , inaugurated the event aimed at promoting industrial safety and Zero Accidents in Industries in the state of Maharashtra.

January , Mumbai: NESCO Events, in collaboration with the Safety Appliances Manufacturers Association (SAMA) and the Directorate of Industrial Safety and Health (DISH), Maharashtra, proudly hosted the2nd edition of the Highly successful World of Safety Summit and Expo 2024. This significant event took place from February 5th to 6th at the prestigious NESCO Center in Mumbai. The event aimed to raise awareness, propose solutions, and foster a lasting safe environment in Maharashtra by bringing together key stakeholders for debate and collaboration.

Throughout the two-day event the objective of this conference was to emphasize the importance of safety of industrial workers and zero accidents in factories. Various sessions were conducted during the conference, addressing topics such as Machine Safety Compliances as per ISO & BIS Standards, Best Practices in Fire and Accident Prevention, and the Utilization of Artificial Intelligence in Safety Management. These sessions were specifically designed to provide insights and guidance for industry leaders in enhancing safety practices within their respective domains.

The inaugural ceremony, spearheaded by Shri. Devidas B Gore, Director, Industrial Safety and Health, Govt of Maharashtra as Chief Guest and Mr. Sanjay Kshirsagar -Head Manufacturing Operations Mahindra Heavy Engines Ltd and Igatpuri Engine Plant as Guest of Honour was attended by around 20 Directorate of Industrial Safety , Maharashtra officers and the DISH representatives and over 700 safety Professionals representing around 300 organizations. In his Keynote address, Mr. Gore imparted invaluable guidance on industrial safety. He also emphasised on inculpating the safety culture amongst the occupier, factory manager, supervisor and most importantly the on field working professionals to all delegates, setting the event’s tone and underlining the theme’s importance.

The two-day event garnered significant attendance, with more than 700 delegates, 2000 visitors and 30 government officials in attendance. More than 60 Exhibitors showcased the latest products in Personal Protective Equipments , Industrial Machine Safety Solutions , Safety Solutions for working at Height , Safety Solutions for Confined Space and many more. The Show was attended by Safety Professionals from across Industries in the engineering , chemical, pharmaceutical and allied industries domain and there were a lot of interesting discussions and learnings amongst the professionals to ensure Zero Accident and 100 % safety in Industries. Best Practises in Big industries showed all the delegates on ways to make their industries safe.
