drink technology India 2018 (dti), the leading trade fair for beverage, dairy and liquid food industry in India was inaugurated on October 24, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition Centre.The trade fair covers a full spectrum of the liquid food and beverage sector in India by targeting sectors like soft drinks, beer and brewery equipment up to liquid food oils and fats etc.

The inaugural ceremony of drink technology India 2018 was attended by key stakeholders from the industry including Prof. (Dr.) N. C. Saha – Director, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Mr. Subodh Gupta – Chairman, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), Mr. Prasad Nabar – President – Oil Technologists Association of India, Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni – Treasurer – Oil Technologists Association of India, Mr. Stefan Glimm – Senior Executive Advisor – European Aluminium Foil Association, Mr. George Moller – Executive Director of Business Unit 4, Messe München GmbH, Mr. Bhupinder Singh, CEO – Messe Muenchen India, Mr. Bernd Jablonowski – Global Portfolio Director, Processing & Packaging, Messe Düsseldorf GmbHamong other key industry players.

The Indian beverage market is dynamically progressing and trade fairs like dti plays a pivotal role in fueling industry growth not only by working as a top selling market place but also as a future oriented knowledge centre.

drink technology India 2018 is showcasing more than 350 exhibitors. Some of the exhibitors at the trade fair included national and international industry leaders such as Ace Technologies, Arol India, Chemco, Della Toffola, Heuft, KHS, Krones, Manjushree, Polyplast, Sanky and Sidel. The exhibitors at dti 2018 covers the entire value chain of the beverage and liquid food industry offered the visitors a comprehensive overview of the latest developments and solutions in the Indian beverage, dairy and liquid food market. The trade fair also showcased the latest innovations developed by companies from India and other parts of the world, in areas that range from the production, filling and packaging of all types of beverages and liquid food.

Supporting programs at dti 2018

The place2beer celebrated its premiere at this edition of drink technology India. The networking platform with sensory tasting, panel discussions and brewery supply displays, was first introduced at drinktec in Munich in 2017.

The Oiltech Forum also took place for the first time at drink technology India as part of the Oiltech Pavilion, powered by oils+fats. The Oil Technologists’ Association of India (OTAI) supported Messe München India in organizing and designing the program. The topic of the half-day seminar was ‘Challenges in Packaging of Edible Oils and Other Related Products’. The trade fair thereby, through the seminar responded to the increasing importance of the topic of oils and fats for the Indian market.

Current and forward-thinking topics for the entire Indian beverage and liquid food market like Trends with regard to beverages, dairy, packaging and recycling were addressed during the Round-Table Talks. These interactive and knowledge based talks facilitated an open discussion where industry experts can state their point of view regarding prevailing challenges in the industry and future trends.

The Buyer-Seller Meetings offered additional benefits to exhibitors and visitors by bridging the gap between exhibitors and top managers. It promotes a targeted exchange between exhibitors and top decision-makers and makes visiting the exhibition even more efficient.
