1,400+ km Cycling Expedition for Better Roads Campaign

Mumbai, August 23, 2025 –A remarkable 1,400+ km cycling expedition undertaken by Ankit Krishna, acclaimed film producer and actor, and Rajesh Kunte, renowned visa and immigration consultant from Mumbai.

The duo successfully cycled from Mantralaya, Mumbai, to the Parliament House, Delhi, via National Highway 48 (NH-48), in a powerful display of endurance and civic commitment. The expedition aimed to raise awareness and advocate for safer, better-maintained roads across India.

The route covered during the expedition was:
Mumbai → Virar → Palghar → Talasri → Bilad → Vapi → Valsad → Navsari → Surat → Kamrej → Ankleshwar → Bharuch → Vadodara → Anand → Nadiad → Ahmedabad → Gandhinagar → Himatnagar → Shamlaji → Chittor → Udaipur → Nathdwara → Ajmer → Jaipur → Gurugram → Delhi, bringing attention to both the strengths and shortcomings of India’s road infrastructure.

“The journey was exhausting but immensely satisfying because we were riding for a cause that impacts millions,” said Ankit Krishna. “Better infrastructure is not just a convenience—it’s a necessity for safety and progress.”

Rajesh Kunte added, “Cycling on NH-48 for over 1,400 km showed us firsthand where improvements are urgently needed. We hope our effort will inspire authorities to take concrete steps toward upgrading road safety and maintenance.”

The cyclists’ arrival in Delhi, on the eve of Independence Day, served as a strong reminder that government bodies must take immediate action to address road safety, quality, and connectivity issues for the benefit of all citizens.
