A new Mini Club experience inspired by the upcoming animated holiday movie to stir curiosity and adventure through spy-themed activities

Mumbai, 5th November 2019 – Club Med, the pioneer of premium all-inclusive family-friendly holidays, announces an exciting new Mini Club experience, Spy Academy, which is set in place in celebration of the new animated spy comedy adventure ‘Spies In Disguise’. Suitable for kids of all ages, Club Med’s Mini Club, will be turned into a training school for ‘young spies’, teaching them detective skills while emulating the charismatic and lovable characters of the highly anticipated film.

“At Club Med, we take pride in bringing the best experience to all our guests and members of the family, no matter how young they are,” said Xavier Desaulles, Chief Executive Officer of Club Med, APAC. “Mini Club aims to help children develop new interests and gain new skills, and this partnership with SPIES IN DISGUISE enables us to further enhance our activities by giving children an unforgettable time, letting them live out a one-of-kind movie experience.”

Spies Up Your Lives – The Club Med Way

Spy Academy starts from the moment the little spies-in-training enter Club Med, and the all- encompassing experience is infused throughout the entire Mini Club experience, scanning their handprints to enter the Mini Club, and ending with a certificate officially declaring them as an ultimate superspy. Upon registration, all children will also receive a Spy Kit with Passport and Bracelet, and are registered into the ‘Spy Database’, officially inducting them into the exclusive Club Med Spy Academy.

Each day of the week at the Spy Academy, children are tasked with completing a “top-secret mission” filled with a series of spy-themed activities inspired by the film. Each successful completion of a mission will earn them a stamp in their spy passport, bringing them closer to being the ultimate spy, just like Lance Sterling and Walter Beckett of “Spies In Disguise”. Children can look forward to learning the art of camouflage, trying their hand out at deciphering codes, and crafting their own invisible ink– all necessary skills and tools for a super spy.

All Spy Academy activities are also aimed at personal growth and enhancement, to ensure that all children leave Club Med having learned something new and bring home new experiences. Besides being fun and engaging, activities like trapeze and archery instil confidence and courage in participants, while memory games that utilise new languages, teach new skills that can be translated into the real world. Parents can rest assured sending their kids off to Spy Academy, knowing that Club Med always has their little one’s best interests at heart.

Spies In Disguise – the animated comedy film

Blue Sky Studios presents “Spies in Disguise,” an animated spy comedy adventure set in the slick, high-octane, globe-trotting world of international espionage. Super spy Lance Sterling (Will Smith) and scientist Walter Beckett (Tom Holland) are almost exact opposites. Lance is smooth, suave and debonair. Walter is…not. But when events take an unexpected turn, this unlikely duo is forced to team up for the ultimate mission that will require an almost impossible disguise – transforming Lance into the brave, fierce, majestic…pigeon. Walter and Lance suddenly have to work as a team, or the whole world is in peril. “Spies in Disguise” is directed by Troy Quane and Nick Bruno inspired by the animated short film “Pigeon: Impossible” by Lucas Martell, and stars Will Smith, Tom Holland, Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Reba McEntire, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka. The film is produced by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Michael J. Travers with Chris Wedge and Kori Adelson serving as executive producers.

“Spies In Disguise” will be released in Singapore on Christmas day, 25 December 2019.

The Spy Academy will be available at selected Club Med resorts1 across Asia Pacific, and runs from November 2019 to March 2020. More information on Club Med’s Spy Academy can be found on our website here https://www.clubmed.com.sg/l/spy-academy.
