BoB and BoM to clash in Inter-Bank final

Mumbai, May : Bank of Baroda and Bank of Maharashtra continued with their winning streak and reached the finals of the 61st Sir Benegal Ramarau Inter-Bank Cricket tournament organised by Reserve Bank of India Sports Club.

In the first semi-final, Bank of Baroda (BoB) defeated host Reserve Bank of India by 25 runs. Batting first, BoB scored 150 for 5 in 20 overs with Chetan Bisht scoring an unbeaten 74 runs and Rakshit 40 runs to lift the total. Chirag Parmar and Jay Nayak of RBI bagged 2 wickets each.  While chasing, RBI were all out for 125 in 19.4 overs. Kunal Thorat of BoB finished with 3 for 27.

In the second semi-final, Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) defeated Central Bank of India by 34 runs. Batting first BoM scored 151 for 5 in 20 overs, with their openers Ashutosh Mali and Soham Mali putting up 109 runs for the 1st wicket. Ashutosh Mali 59 runs in 41 balls and Soham Mali 55 in 50 balls propped the total. In reply, Central Bank of India were restricted to 117 for 8 in 20 overs. Himanshu Sonthalia of BoM was the star with the ball as he finished with 3 for 22 in his 4 overs.
