Let Us Pledge and Work Together Towards the Prime Minister’s Vision of Viksit Bharat 2047

Mumbai, August 15, 2026: MVIRDC World Trade Center Mumbai celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with a grand Flag Hoisting Ceremony, bringing together representatives from the government, diplomatic community, industry and other distinguished guests to commemorate the spirit of freedom, unity and national pride.

Rahul NarwekarHon’ble Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, Government of Maharashtra said, “Independence Day is a moment of immense pride for every Indian and reminds us of our collective responsibility towards the prosperity and well-being of our nation. India today stands as the world’s fourth-largest economy and is steadily moving towards becoming the third-largest, with the larger vision of emerging as a fully developed nation by 2047. This remarkable journey has also been strengthened by the cooperation, friendship and goodwill India shares with nations across the world.”

With a growth rate of around 7%, India continues to be among the fastest-growing major economies, and nations across the world are increasingly looking towards India as a trusted partner and a major engine of global growth. Powered by the aspirations and enterprise of 140 crore Indians, our nation is scaling new heights of progress across different sectors. The MSME sector and Indian industry must now look ahead, rise to emerging opportunities and strengthen their competitiveness in global markets. As we celebrate this historic occasion, we must collectively work towards realising the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”
