ROTARIAN LAL GOEL ADDRESSES CISF MUMBAI AIRPORT ON CRITICAL IMPORTANCE OF ORGAN DONATION

Mumbai, November , 2025 – Rotarian Lal Goel, Founder and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Organ Donation International and Chairman of the Organ Donation India Foundation & GYAN, delivered an impactful presentation on organ donation to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) unit at Mumbai Airport.

During his address, Rotarian Goel highlighted the urgent need for organ donation in India, citing data from the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) that over 5 lakh people die annually while awaiting organ transplants. In stark contrast, he noted that the UK recorded 422 deaths due to organ shortage last year. “One brain-dead person can save up to nine lives and improve the quality of life for up to 75 people,” he emphasised.
