Maharashtra Postal Circle today released a special cancellation to commemorate the remarkable achievement of D Gukesh, the young Indian chess sensation, who recently became a world champion.
This special cancellation is a tribute to D. Gukesh’s outstanding talent, dedication and perseverance, which have made him a pride of the nation. The Maharashtra Postal Circle is honored to recognize his achievement through this philatelic tribute.
The special cancellation was released by Shri. Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, at an event at Goa. Shri. Adnan Ahmed, PMG Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Shri R K Jayabhaye, PMG Pune Region, Ms Suchita Joshi, PMG Navi Mumbai Region, Ms. Jayati Samaddar, GM Finance and other Senior Officers of the Maharashtra Postal circle were present on the occassion.
The special cancellation will be available at all the bureaus in Maharashtra & Goa Circle and can be obtained by philatelists and chess enthusiasts.
