Maharashtra Postal Circle hosts successful Last Mile Connect Conclave for Banking and Insurance sector

The Department of Posts, Maharashtra Circle, hosted the ‘Last Mile Connect Conclave’ under the auspices of Chief Postmaster General Mr. Amitabh Singh. This event brought together a diverse range of businesses from the insurance and banking sectors, including both long-standing partners and new entrants.

Mr. Ajinkya Kale, Director- Mumbai Region, delivered a presentation on “First and Last Mile Solutions by India Post”, highlighting innovative offerings such as physical and digital mailing solutions, smart parcel delivery systems, KYC verification, Aadhaar services, digital life certificates, AePS, and partnerships for product distribution.

Mr. Rajan Tamil, founder of Cloudhandz, shared insights in his presentation titled “Understanding Nuances of Last Mile Operations,” discussing the evolving landscape of last-mile logistics, the importance of efficiency in mailing, technology adoption, and advanced mail management.

The event recognized the top five business houses in the insurance and banking sectors with token of appreciation, along with a special acknowledgment for Protean eGov Technology Limited.

Mr. Amitabh Singh emphasized the Department’s commitment to maintaining a human touch in its services, particularly in its role in the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar : Muft Bijli Yojana, which involved the registration of over 11 lakh households in Maharashtra and 57 lakh nationwide. He introduced the concept of “Phygital,” highlighting the synergy between the Department’s physical and digital services.

The conclave was graced by notable attendees, including Ms. Suchita Joshi, Postmaster General of the Navi Mumbai Region, and other distinguished guests.
