Mumbai, December 28: Kopana FC struck a goal at the death to snatch a narrow 1-0 win against Indian Cultural League (ICL) Youngstar in a Super Division match of the Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League 2023-2024 and played at the Neville D’Souza ground, Bandra on Thursday.
Both Kopana FC and ICL Youngstar were engaged in an absorbing contest and just as the match seemed to heading for a goalless draw, striker Roshan Mangela scored the decisive winner for Kopana FC and to help them collect the full three points.
Later, in another match of the same division, India Rush SC and Somaiya FC shared honours as they played out an exciting and high-scoring 3-3 draw. Kalpesh Rane, Yunus Ansari and Samir Bayen were bang on target with a goal each for India Rush, while Somaiya FC scored through Arjun Singh, Vaibhav Shetti and Mandar Palav all contributing one goal apiece.
Results – Super Div: Kopana FC 1 (Roshan Mangela) beat ICL Youngstar 0.
India Rush SC 3 (Kalpesh Rane, Yunus Ansari, Samir Bayen) drew with Somaiya FC 3 (Arjun Singh, Vaibhav Shetti, Mandar Palav).
