North Eastern food showcase- at ITC Grand Central

Experience the great North Eastern food showcase at the responsible luxury brand ITC Grand Central, in the month of July. Chef Atul Lahkar from Guwahati, Assam is all geared up to give your palate a flavorful break, inspired from the flavours from North East.

Witness Chef Atul Lahkar cook up a storm as he introduces the various delicacies such as Til diya Mangxho (sesame chicken curry), Aaloo pitika, khaar, maasor tenga (sour fish curry), khorisa mangxho (bamboo shoot chicken curry) and much more in our all-day dining restaurant Hornby’s pavilion for a week.

The festival will kick off on 5th of July,2022 and concludes on 10th of July,2022  at Level 1 floor in ITC Grand Central.

A brief about Chef Atul Lahkar- Chef Atul Lahkar is a household name in the culinary world and a sole representation of Assamese Cooking in the global map. With 25 years of culinary and gastronomy journey, he has been enriched with in depth knowledge and understanding of this region that now needs to be utilized and explored for commercial travel and food purposes.

From international Celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay to late Anthony Bourdain, and Indian celebrity chefs Vikas Khanna to Sanjeev Kapoor, whenever they wanted to explore the ethnic cuisine of Assam, one person who has always been on their top of the list is chef Atul Lahkar, the man who pioneered the resurgence of ethnic cuisine among the masses in Assam. Atul also holds great passion for photography and always documents the different cuisine within Assam
