Local Retailer’s sales boost on an e-commerce platform

by Suman Gupta

Mumbai ,April 2022- The small neighbourhood sellers are celebrating their e-commerce presence and growing sales on the Kiko Live app, an Industry First solution offering a LIVE Buyer-Seller interaction solution where a buyer and seller connect directly in real-time, replicating a physical store shopping experience. This is quite different and far superior to other solutions which either offer micro websites with catalogues for sellers or help them connect to their customers over a WhatsApp chat. The B2C app with the latest innovative AI technologies paves the way for the online empowerment of local sellers, who merely relied on walk-in customers for their business and sales. The sellers can now set up their stores free of charge and fulfill orders placed by the buyer on a video call. For the shopper, it offers a personalised and real-time shopping experience as it allows them to see and then buy products through a video call.

Throwing light on the app, Alok Chawla, Co-Founder, Kiko Live said, “Sellers also get their own microsite (sellername.kiko.live) which they can share with their customers through messaging, social media or on their visiting cards. So, buyers who do not have the Kiko app can also visit the seller’s microsite, make a LIVE video call to the seller, and transact with him through any browser. Sellers can process payments and use the Kiko delivery service even for such calls that come from their website. The calling option can even be embedded on the seller’s website. We also ensure to maintain the KYC of all the sellers. We are the industry’s first solution offering a LIVE Buyer-Seller interaction solution where a buyer and seller connect directly in real-time, replicating a physical store shopping experience. For the first time in India, local sellers have a platform where they can sell from anywhere at any time through video calls, even if the shutter is down.”

“The next major milestone in the growth of social commerce in India is live shopping and video commerce. Our vision is to become the leader in the LIVE commerce segment in India and empower millions of retailers with technology enabling them to sell digitally to their customers and increase their geographical reach and give a major impetus to their sales” says Chawla.

Kiko Live app is convenient and easy to use as customers can connect to the seller’s profile directly from the web or anywhere. Its unique feature allows the buyers to connect directly to the seller through the URL. They can bargain with the seller while live shopping and make online payments for the ordered products. The seller delivers the products at their doorstep making the entire purchase process a seamless and hassle-free transaction.

Over 10,000 shops have already signed up with Kiko Live and around 1,000 daily buyer-seller interactions and transactions are being enabled every day. Over 500,000 users have installed the app so far and installs continue to grow at a rapid rate.
