05 November, 2019, India: Anshula Kapoor’s online fundraising platform, ‘Fankind’ announced the launch of their fifth campaign with the celebrated film director Karan Johar. Through this campaign, Karan Johar will be raising funds for the NGO ActionAid Association.  The proceeds of this campaign will be used to sponsor the education of children in rural India.

With ActionAid Association, sponsoring a child goes beyond education. The support ensures that it transforms the lives of children in the community where the sponsored child lives, by ensuring they get access to quality education, proper nutrition, healthcare and protection. All it takes is Rs750 to educate, feed and sponsor one child for a month.

On the announcement of the campaign, Karan Johar said “I strongly believe that every child should receive at least the basic education, it is something I truly feel builds the foundation of every individuals life and makes one a responsible citizen and a human being. Hence, I am supporting this cause through my campaign with Fankind. The proceeds will be given to ActionAid in order to sponsor education of children in rural India.”

To participate in the campaign, fans can donate on Fankind’s website to buy entries for a minimum of Rs 200 or multiples thereof, and one lucky fan participating along with a friend will get the opportunity to have coffee with the director along with a chance to tour the coveted swanky Dharma Productions office in Mumbai!
