Leading Environmental Trade Fair, IFAT India, showcases ground-breaking technologies in its 7th edition

Mumbai, October, 2019IFAT India 2019 had a grand opening at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Goregaon from 16th October, 2019.

IFAT India is the leading trade fair for water, sewage, solid waste and recycling which provides an opportunity to industry experts, policymakers and business leaders to discuss regional strategies on numerous environmental challenges and seek solutions through formal interactions.

The 7th edition of IFAT India is India’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Solid Waste and Recycling will present their solutions for the pressing environmental challenges of the Indian subcontinent— from the water crisis to sustainable urban development

The inaugural ceremony of IFAT India 2019 was done in the presence of Shri Suresh Prabhu, Former Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of India; Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director General, TERI; Mr. Aabid Surti, Water Hero of India; Mr. Bhupinder Singh, CEO, Messe München India; Dr. Jürgen Morhard, Consul General of Germany among other key industry players among other key industry players

IFAT India 2019 saw over more than 300 exhibitors on an area of 14,500 square meters from 22 countries. The fair was marked by industries players like  Andritz, Aqseptence Group, Astral Poly Technik, Endress+Hauser, Kirloskar, LANXESS, Larsen & Toubro, Schwing Stetter, Thermax and Wilo. Companies such as Arvind Envisol Hawle, Pentair Water Process Technology, Pratham Filter Industries and WOG Technologies will be there for the first time. IFAT India 2019 saw international participation from countries like China, Germany, Canada, the Republic of Korea, Norway and Switzerland

New platform for founders and thought leaders This year’s edition will feature a novelty: the future platform experience.science.future., which has already successfully established itself at the parent fair IFAT in Munich. In one single area, it will bring together start-ups, universities and NGOs, showcasing new technological ideas for the Indian subcontinent. For example, greentecAQUA will bring a promising solution to fight the acute water crisis: at IFAT India, the young company from Berlin will show a container-sized machine that can produce water in various qualities from the moisture in the air, for example simple water for agriculture, mineralized water intended for human consumption or specifically enriched water for pharmaceutical application.

IFAT India will showcase information about the latest trends in the Indian environmental sector at the exhibitors’ booths. The key highlight of the fair is a conference program for national and international experts to provide insights into technical innovations, current environmental projects and best practices. The program will start with the City Leaders Conclave, where urban decision-makers will present their proposals for sustainable urbanization in India.

The next event of the trade fair, held once every year, will be in the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai from October 16 to 19, 2019. With IFAT Delhi, there will be a regional variant of the trade fair for the North of India as from 2020 – the first edition takes place from January 29 to 31, 2019 in the India Habitat Centre.
