Here are 5 must watch films listed from Tata Sky Kids Cinema

Gattu : Gattu is one of the few films of Bollywood to be honored with a special mention under Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk category at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival. Directed by Rajan Khosa, the film revolves around a small town in central India, where kids and adults are equally obsessed with kite-flying. The airspace is dominated by a black kite called Kali with mysterious origins. Gattu, a street kid, yearns to conquer the airspace in his town by defeating Kali, a mysterious kite. Gattu is a must watch film for everyone but even more so for all those sceptics who easily lose hope in life.

Pappu Ki Pugdandi : Pappu Ki Pugdandi is a young boy’s struggle to adjust to life at a prestigious school in northern India with some unlikely assistance from a mysterious genie, in this heartwarming comedy about finding one’s own inner strength. Directed by Seema Desai, Pappu ki Pugdandi is an adventurous, magical yet logical journey that thrills as well as teaches some invaluable lessons about no shortcuts to happiness.

Karamati Coat : This is an award-winning movie by CFSI (Children’s Film Society, India) directed by National School of Drama alumni, Ajay Kartik. The movie spins around Raju, a poor rag-picker, and his magical coat with a secret attached to it which changed his life. Soon, the secret is out to Raju’s brother-in-law, who conspires to steal the coat even at the cost of harming Raju. A clean and gripping story telling that the eldest in the room also will not be able to stop watching till the end.

The Goal : The Goal is based on the short story written by Bengali writer Prafulla Roy, produced by Children’s Film Society, India and directed by Gul Bahar Singh starring Irrfan Khan as a coach. The movie is an award-winning Hindi feature film about a kid who loves football but is rejected in a local football team only because his father is a thief and belongs to a lower caste. The film has won several national and international awards. Apart from the younger and intriguing Irfan Khan, the movie keeps viewers intrigued about ‘What can happen to this street kids now?’ A simple narrative that never fails when powerful performances are added to the formula.

A Cat in Paris : A Cat in Paris is a 2010 French animated adventure film by the French animation studio Folimage, telling the story of a young Parisian girl whose cat leads her to unravel a thrilling mystery over the course of a single evening. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Along with Chico and Rita, it became one of two foreign-language films nominated for Best Animated Feature in one year. Kids watching the film are bound to be fascinated by its graceful mixture of gravity and mischief, apart from delightfully different animation.
