3rd MCC Talent Search Cricket Tournament 2023-2024 – Sanjeevani CA, MCC match ends in a tie

Mumbai: Honours were evenly shared as Sanjeevani Cricket Academy and Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ boys’ under-12 league match finished in an exciting tie in the third MCC Talent Search Cricket Tournament 2023-2024, organized by JSF (Jwala Sports Foundation) and played at the Sachivalaya ground, Oval Maidan. Both teams earned one point each.

Sent in to bat, Sanjeevani Cricket Academy managed to score 149 runs for 5 wickets from their 25 overs. Nivedh Dinesh contributed an unbeaten 42 runs while captain Shreyas Khilare and Anuj Singh chipped in with 34 and 33 runs respectively.

Later, Sanjeevani CA did well to restrict Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ to 149 for 9 wickets in 25 overs. Opener Arish Khan top-scored with 48 runs and Agastya Kashikar made 20 runs. Vedant Bhambhani took 3 for 16 runs.

Shreyas Khilare who scored 34 runs and for his excellent fielding which resulted in the run-outs of three MCC batters he was later declared ‘Player of the match’.

Brief scores: Sanjeevani Cricket Academy 149 for 5, 25 overs (Nivedh Dinesh 42*, Shreyas Khilare 34, Anuj Singh 33) tied match Mumbai Cricket Club ‘A’ 149 for 9, 25 overs (Arish Khan 48, Agastya Kashikar 20; Vedant Bhambhani 3/16). Result: Match tied.
