ECGC supports girls education in aspirational district, Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh

Rajgarh, MP,: ECGC, a premier Export Credit Agency (ECA) of Government of India (GOI) has earmarked Rs.2.50 crores during Financial Year 2018-19 for education projects including supporting secondary education of girls in Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh.

Rajgarhin Madhya Pradesh is one of the aspirational districts selected by Government of India. ECGC, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) shall be supporting to about 3000 girls in Rajgarh district for the secondary education and enable them to appear in the  Open School Board Exam (Distance Education)  in Madhya Pradesh.

Further, ECGC will also be supporting the district  in the initial phase to start about 50 smart classes in the schools which will be equipped with modern education equipment’sand trained staff in co-ordination with the Education Department of Madhya Pradesh during 2019. The entire project will be implemented in 6 blocks, 638 clusters, 6640 teachers will be trained and 68000 students will benefit from the project.

The above projectsare aimed to enhance the quality of teachers, students and study materials.

The initiative taken by ECGC in co-ordination with District Collector in Rajgarh will help to improve the quality of education and ensure girls are educated.

Mrs.Geetha Muralidhar,  Chairman-cum-Managing Director, ECGC Limited conveyed, on behalf of ECGC Commitment and contribution of Rs.2.50crores  to Ms.NidhiNivedita,  District Collector Rajgarh and her team for  development work in education sector in Rajgarh district and presented the commitment letter to the District Collector, to provide support for this activity.

ECGC Ltd. provides credit insurance covers to exporters against non-payment risks by the overseas buyers due to Commercial and Political reasons. It also provides insurance covers to banks against risks in export credit lending to the exporter borrowers. ECGC endeavors to support Indian Export Industry with its experience, expertise and underlying commitment to progress and advance of India’s exports.
